	Gerónimo feels like more than your standard hostal. Lovely rooms have tapestries on bright stucco walls, reliable gas heat, private terracotta tile bathrooms and balconies facing Villarrica's fuming crater. This cordial guesthouse bodes well for mature guests who are more likely to sniff the geraniums and swoon over spring mattresses. Paintings of Rubenesque dames and country-style antiques dot the living area. Plump beds are littered with throw pillows, and big windows cosy up the bedrooms with ample light. The overall feel is homey, if a little precious. Ask ahead for views of the volcano. Breakfast may include juice, fresh eggs and kuchen (German fruit cakes). German and some English are spoken.
