Mara House offers a great combination of Irish&Egyptian hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, security and friendship. We are in a residential area only10 mins from city centre.where people respect your privacy while offering you a welcome smile and?good morning? ? home away from home! We offer: Free pick up from the railway station. 40LE for pick up from airport (normal taxi price) Laundry Service European mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and towels. Entire building is cleaned daily (European standards) Unlimited supply of hot water 24 hours. You can inspect the room before paying. Guided or organised tours in Luxor or to anywhere in Egypt. Free travel and sightseeing advice. Taxi service Breakfast consists of juice, yogurt, bread, jam, eggs, cheese, tea/coffee. Check out time is normally 12 noon but if your roomis not booked you are welcome to keep it until your departure time. If it is booked we will store your luggage&you are still free to use all building facilities, including shower/bathroom.Local bus service passes by the end of the roadMara House consists of 9 apts, sleeping up to 30 persons per night. Your accommodation is either a single, twin or double bedroom ?.all private. Double rooms have ? double bed, bathroom, kitchen, sitting room. Each apt. has one double room and two singlerooms so if the apt. is full the most people you will share a bathroom with is 4, with whom you also share living room with balcony and kitchen.The ground floor coffee shop is decorated in Bedouin style with Bedouin lamps, rugs, wall hangings and cushioned floor-seating at low tables. Here you can also buy a selection of food and meet fellow travellers. There is also another large relaxation room furnished with arabesque seats, rugs, floor cushions, crystal chandeliers ?? I am from Ireland and living in Luxor since 2003. Mara House is open since Jan 2005. I love life here and want my guests to leave feeling as I do with a desire to come back again?Our aim is to provide that little bit extra to make your holiday special. The most frustrating thing that happens here is having guests booked in who don?t arrive ?.and knowing they have been taken somewhere else by someone they met on the train, outside the station or in the streets. Luxoris wonderful but can be overwhelming to new arrivals with people offering assistance.
