Atrani is an extension of Amalfi really, and was indeed another part of the maritime republic, twin of Amalfi place of investiture of the Duchy and residence of the Nobles...with a similarly styled church sporting another set of bronze doors from Constantinople, manufactured in 1086.It's a quiet place, which benefits from all the attention bestowed upon its neighbour, with a pretty, almost entirely enclosed little square, Piazza Umberto, openingonto a usually gloriously peaceful patch of sandy beach - hard to believe the bustle of Amalfi is just around the corner.Another good reason for coming here is that it has a great place to stay in the A'SCALINATELLA, a friendly, family-run establishment that offers excellent-value hostel beds and regular-private rooms in various different buildings around town. In the nice Piazzetta complimentary breakfast, starting point for most important activities:excursions, walks, tours free map.Perfect accommodation:near all major attraction, only 5 minutes walk from Amalfi port.mt100 beach restaurant, bar, market.Tour and accommodation on wonderfull farm in Amalfi overlooking the beatifull bay of Salerno.
