	IMPORTANT: WE ONLY ACCEPT VISA AND MASTERCARD, ANY RESERVATION MADE WITH DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS WILL BE CANCELLED.Aquileia, founded by Romans in 181 b.C, has been for 750 years an important city, until at the arrival of Attila the Hun all of its inhabitants fled. Christianity arrived early in Aquileia and the new religion was soon spread in the neighbouring regions. Aquileia, listed in the Unesco art cities, still retains many monuments of its past, particulary important are the ruins of the Forum, the remains of the river port, the bell tower and expecially the Basilica with its beautiful mosaic floor, one of the oldest in Christianity. Only ten Km. from Trieste's airport, Aquileia is well connected by public transport both to Trieste and Venice, as well as a good stop-by on one's way to Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. The sandy beaches of Grado are only 10 minutes by bus and in summer speed boats connect the resort to Trieste and Croatia. The hostel has mostly got family rooms (for 2, 3 and 4 persons) with private adjoining bathroom.
