Only 30 minutes by taxi from Bangkok International Airport and 20 minutes by underground railway from central Bangkok, all Bangkok's major facilities and tourist attractions are easily, quickly and cheaply accessed with no traffic hassles.Owned and managed by English speaking Chris and Benz Bruce, situated in a quiet location and with friendly staff ready to assist with all your needs, Discovery Lodge is the place to stay for a happy and interesting time in Bangkok. Withcomfortable furnishings and clean beds, Discovery Lodge offers a calm respite from the hectic world of downtown Bangkok. Double bedrooms are air-conditioned with cable TV and built in cupboards, modern bathrooms are fitted with baths, full length showers, western toilets, wash basins and shaver/hairdryer sockets. The lounge/bedroom sleeps four in two double bunks, it opens onto a verandah with tables and chairs where you can sunbathe, read or just relax. A pillow, pillow case and bedsheet are provided. Towels, additional linen and blankets are available upon request. The suites can be rented as a single unit or can be split into two bedrooms sharing a common bathroom depending on your requirements.Amenities available in the common rooms include computers with access to the internet, printer and disc burner, international pay phones and fax services, coin operated washing machines, (laundry service is available on request), cable TV and a small book swapping facility. There is a mini-marton the premises supplying a variety of drinks and ready to eat meals.With its enviable location, Discovery Lodge is your gateway into the heart of Bangkok. Suttisan Station, a five minute walk from Discovery Lodge, provides direct access to the underground and Sky Train station networks and buses. Underground Railway Fares at 10 Baht for three stations plus 5 Bahtper additional station are exceptionally cheap. From Mochit, Sukhumvit and Silom underground stations you can switch to the Sky Train and gain direct access to all Bangkok's major tourist attractions as well as links to river ferries. The maximum Sky Train fare is 40 Baht and river ferry fares start at 2 Baht.
